Sacramento’s Trusted Dog Training Experts

Obedience, behavior, and problem solving tailored to your dog and your goals.

Training at Elite Dogs

If you’re dealing with behaviors like pulling, barking, jumping, reactivity, or aggression, you’re not alone and there is a solution. We specialize in real-world obedience and behavior training that helps dogs become calm, responsive, and reliable in everyday situations.

Our programs are designed around each individual dog. We do not follow a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, we evaluate your dog, understand your goals, and build a training plan that fits both. Whether your dog needs foundational obedience or help with more serious behavioral issues, we focus on creating clear communication and consistent results.

We do not just train dogs. We work closely with you to build confidence, teach proper handling, and help you understand your dog’s behavior. When dogs learn to trust their handler and look to them for guidance, they begin to respond quickly, calmly, and consistently.

With years of experience and a proven track record, Elite Dogs has become one of the most trusted and effective training programs in the Sacramento area.

Health & Safety Requirements

Required Vaccinations

All dogs must provide proof of current vaccinations at least 3 days prior to service:

  • DHLPP (Distemper Combination)
  • Bordetella
  • Rabies
General Health Requirements

Dogs arriving with fleas and/or ticks will be bathed, and the cost of treatment will be applied. In cases of severe infestation, dogs may be sent home or required to receive veterinary treatment before returning. Dogs showing signs of illness should not attend training. If at any point during a program your dog goes into heat or you suspect they may be pregnant, training may need to be rescheduled.

Recent Exposure Guidelines

Bordetella, commonly known as kennel cough, is highly contagious and can be contracted in everyday environments such as dog parks, walking paths, kennels, and even at home. If your dog may have been exposed to illness within the past 14 days, please wait before bringing them to our facility to help protect all dogs in our care.

Newly Adopted Dogs

Dogs that have recently been in a shelter or rescue environment must be in their new home for at least 21 days before coming to the facility.
