Board & Train Program

A Stronger Foundation Through Structured Training

Our Board & Train program is our most immersive training option. Your dog stays with us for 21 days and receives consistent, hands-on training each day in a structured environment focused on building obedience, improving behavior, and establishing clear communication.

This program is designed to create meaningful progress quickly, but the training does not end when your dog goes home. The foundation we build with your dog is only part of the process, equally important is the guidance and training we provide to you. Our goal is to give you a strong foundation and the tools needed to maintain and build on that progress long term.

The $50 consultation fee is applied toward the total cost of your training program. A $150 deposit is required after the consultation to reserve your training dates and is fully refundable up to two weeks prior to the start of the program. The remaining balance is due at the start of the program.

Discounted rates for multiple dogs apply only when dogs are from the same household, have the same owner, and participate in the program at the same time. Training program pricing does not include the cost of any recommended equipment. We encourage all individuals who will be handling the dog(s) at home to participate in the training sessions to ensure consistency and long-term success.

How It Works

Training That Includes Both Dog and Owner

During the 21-day stay, your dog receives daily training focused on obedience, behavior, and structure. This consistent repetition allows us to build a solid foundation and improve reliability in real-world situations.

Once the boarding portion is complete, the program transitions into handler instruction. This includes a two-hour session on the day of pickup, followed by two additional one-hour sessions, typically scheduled about a week apart.

These sessions are a critical part of the program. They are designed to help you understand the training, build confidence, and successfully transition your dog back into your home. The program is not considered complete until handler instruction is finished.

Our program is built on consistent, supported structure that gives the dog clear expectations. That clarity builds trust, which is a key factor in reducing anxiety and improving reactivity over time.

Board & Train Program Includes

  • 21 days of boarding with daily structured training
  • Work on obedience, behavior, and real-world reliability
  • Two-hour handler instruction session at pickup
  • Two additional one-hour follow-up sessions
  • Three half-hour group sessions (after individual follow up sessions are complete)
  • Training tailored to your dog’s needs and your goals

Note: Training program pricing does not include the cost of any recommended equipment.

What to Expect

Board & Train programs are scheduled in advance and can be difficult to move once dates are set.

The pickup session is especially important and cannot be easily rescheduled. This is when your dog is returned to you and we provide the instruction needed to continue the training. Delays or changes to this session can impact the effectiveness of the entire program.

Follow-up sessions offer slightly more flexibility, but are still an important part of completing the program successfully.

To maintain consistency and avoid setbacks, owners are not able to visit during the 21-day training period. This allows your dog to stay focused, build structure, and make steady progress without interruption.

What to Bring for Board & Train

  • Your dog’s food for the entire stay (bring extra)
Dogs often burn more energy while boarding due to increased activity, so appetites may increase.
  • Food in a sealed bag only
We do not accept storage containers or scoops to keep feeding consistent and organized.
  • Any medications your dog requires, in original labeled containers
This helps us ensure proper dosing and safe administration.
  • Optional treats, extras, or supplements
Please only bring items your dog is already familiar with consuming.
  • One or two durable, kennel-safe toys (Kong or similar recommended)
Familiar items can help reduce stress, but we recommend keeping it simple.
  • Any important care instructions
Let us know anything specific about your dog’s routine, behavior, or preferences.
What Not to Bring

Please do not bring rawhide, as it can be unsafe without direct supervision. We also ask that you avoid bringing food in containers, loose scoops, or pre-portioned bags. Bedding, large items, or excessive toys are not necessary and may not be used during your dog’s stay.
