In-Home Training Program

Training That Happens in Your Dog’s Real Environment

Our In-Home Training program brings professional guidance directly to you, allowing us to work with your dog in the environment.

Each program begins with a consultation at our West Sacramento facility, where we evaluate your dog, understand your goals, and build a clear plan. From there, we work with you in your home over four one-hour sessions, typically scheduled weekly, to create steady, practical progress.

As important as the foundation we build with your dog is the guidance and training we provide to you. You’ll learn how to communicate clearly, handle situations confidently, and maintain results long after the program is complete.

Pricing

Training program pricing does not include the cost of any recommended equipment.

The $50 consultation fee is applied toward the total cost of your training program. A $150 deposit is required at the time of your consultation to reserve your training schedule and is fully refundable up to two weeks prior to the start of the program. The remaining balance is due at the start of your first in-home session.

In-home training is available within a 30-minute drive of our West Sacramento facility. Program pricing does not include the cost of any recommended training equipment. For households with multiple dogs (up to three), all dogs must belong to the same owner, live together, and participate in sessions at the same time.

How It Works

Training That Includes Both Dog and Owner

Each session (after the consultation) is conducted in your home and focuses on building both your dog’s behavior and your ability to guide it. This approach allows for immediate, practical application. Instead of learning in a controlled environment, you and your dog develop skills at home.

The program is structured across four sessions, giving you time between visits to practice, apply what you’ve learned, and build consistency. Each session builds on the last, creating steady, lasting progress.

In-Home Training Program Includes

  • Initial consultation and customized training plan
  • Four one-hour in-home training sessions
  • Three half-hour group sessions (after individual follow up sessions are complete)
  • Training tailored to your dog’s behavior and your environment
  • Real-world application in your home and neighborhood
  • Guidance on leash work, structure, and daily routines
  • Coaching on communication, handling, and consistency
  • Support for common issues including jumping, barking, reactivity, anxiety, and more

Note: Training program pricing does not include the cost of any recommended equipment.

What to Expect

In-home training is designed to be practical, efficient, and directly applicable to your daily life. Because sessions take place in your home, you take out the travel time as we come to you.

Consistency between sessions is key. You’ll be given clear direction on what to work on between visits so progress continues beyond each appointment. This program is as much about developing your confidence and handling skills as it is improving your dog’s behavior.

When followed consistently, this approach creates lasting results that carry over into everyday situations.
