We’ve been part of the West Sacramento community for years, and we take pride in working closely with every client and every dog that comes through our doors. When you train with us, you’re not handed off to a rotating staff—you work directly with experienced trainers who are invested in your success.
Our Team
Courtney
Courtney has been part of Elite Dogs from the very beginning. As the niece of the original founder, she grew up around dogs and training, developing her skills at an early age.
She joined full-time in 2009 and, alongside her husband Ian, took over ownership in 2019. Today, Courtney leads our training programs and oversees daily operations. Her experience, consistency, and ability to read dogs at a high level have helped shape what Elite Dogs is known for today.
Guy
Guy joined Elite Dogs in 2014 and quickly became a core part of the team. He manages our kennel staff and plays a major role in our board and train program.
He has a natural ability to connect with dogs of all temperaments, especially those that require a steady, confident approach. Dogs that struggle in other environments often make real progress with Guy due to his calm, patient, and consistent handling style.

Dee
Dee joined the team in 2022 with a strong background in dog training and quickly adapted to the Elite Dogs approach.
She works closely with both dogs and owners, combining solid technical skill with a positive, approachable style. Dee brings a level of energy and clarity to sessions that helps both dogs and handlers stay engaged and make steady progress.
Thomas
Thomas is the newest member of our training team and has quickly become a valuable part of the group.
His enthusiasm, work ethic, and willingness to learn have allowed him to develop a strong understanding of our training methods in a short time. He brings a great attitude to every session and continues to grow into a well-rounded trainer.
